WEB SPORTS CHICAGO    |     home                                                    TRITON CLICK ABOVE FOR ALL PHOTOS We took a break Thursday(Feb.23) from the high school grind to visit one of our favorite sectors of basketball...the small college scene in Chicago. These venues offer top shelf basketball excitement with many players we recently covered in high school. The atmosphere's here are intimate and friendly; the players and coaches are genuine and real.  We found this all to be true at Triton College in River Grove Il. They defeated Chicago rival Kennedy-King in front of family and fans in their regular season finale. Triton, a member of the National Junior College Athletics Association, begins it's playoff season next week. We sincerely thank head coach Steve Christiansen for allowing us access to the team and his kind accommodations.
